The NUA Strategy Bank contains 66 teaching strategies divided into categories: reading, writing, math, priming for units of study, geography, and Thinking Maps. Upon reading about and trying out a strategy, you may wish to purchase the reference from which it came, as the books contain many more strategies. There is no definitive list of strategies, however, NUA has identified 8 core strategies as good places to start: Defining Format, Keyword Notes, Taxonomy, List-Group-Label, MetaCognition, Sentence Stretchers, Dancing Definitions, Read-Talk-Write.
