something made, of light and magnets, just for you

If you do use any of my games and widgets in your classroom, would you please drop me a line and let me know how it works for you. I am always trying to improve my designs to make them more usable and teacher friendly. Madzander (at) gmail (dot) com. Also, the games/widgets are free for you to use, but consider donating if you feel it's worth it. This will help defray the costs of web hosting etc. Thanks and enjoy!

<empty>New Whose turn is it anyway?

<empty>This is a classroom name picking widget. It replaces your cup of popsicile sticks and does not allow for students to be called on twice before everyone else is called on. Made in Flash; it uses XML to import your list of students. When a class is loaded it displays "Ready." When you have picked everyone, it says "Done" and the pick me button disappears. Clicking the "reset" button randomizes the list again and shows the "pick me" button. It works well for just one class. If you wish to be able to pick from multiple groups or from different classes, say your reading or math class, use It's My Turn! the upgraded version of this widget [below]. Thank you to Carol L., for pointing out a bug in the widget. It has since been fixed.

Pattern Blocks for Interactive White Boards

This is a version of my pattern block game that can be imported into Smart Notebook. The only difference is that I removed the double click script from the blocks -- this allows little fingers to manipulate the blocks on the board and they do not suddently dissappear. If you want to play the game click the link. If you wish to download the game, right Click and choose "Save Target As (IE)" or "Save Link As (FireFox)." Import into your Notebook software as you would with any other .swf

Let's Play the Feud
