Let's learn about Vietnam

Vietnam is a land of people that has existed for over 3500 years. For about a thousand of those years, Vietnam was ruled by China . From 1883 to World War II (1939-1945) France ruled Vietnam . Briefly during World War II , Japan controlled Vietnam . In 1946, the French army returned and ruled Vietnam until they were defeated in 1954. More fighting occurred with the Vietnam War. Vietnam has had thousands of years of war and foreign rulers. Today they are working toward making their home a better place to live.
