Clouds in Water Zen Center follows in the lineage of Dainin Katagiri-roshi, a Soto Zen monk who came to this country in the early 1960’s, worked with Shunryu Suzuki-roshi for ten years at Zen Center in San Francisco, and came to Minnesota starting the Minnesota Zen Meditation Center in 1972.

 

 


Dharma Field Meditation and Learning Center is a community dedicated to the practice of Zen and the teachings of Buddhism in a setting not bound to any one culture. We welcome everyone.


Compassionate Ocean Zen Center is named after Jikai Dainin Katagiri Roshi, the root teacher of Joen and Michael O’Neal. Jikai, Compassionate Ocean, refers to reality itself, which always holds us and bathes us with compassion.


Blue Cliff Monastery is a mindfulness practice center and monastic training center founded by the Vietnamese Buddhist monk, author, and peace activist--our beloved teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh.
